Do I need a consultation first?
Yes — balayage and highlights are complex services and we don't offer them as direct online bookings. Start with a free consultation so we can meet you, assess your hair, and discuss the look you want. We'll evaluate previous colour services, hair quality, desired result, and any allergies. A patch test may be required.
What's the difference between balayage, foils, and Airtouch?
They're different techniques for placing lightener in the hair. Balayage is freehand painting for a softer, more natural gradient. Foils create more defined, consistent lift. Airtouch uses a blow dryer to separate finer strands before lightening for an ultra-seamless result. Your colourist will recommend the best technique based on your hair and the look you're after.
Why does it take so long?
Lightening hair is a precision process — the placement takes time, and the product needs to process gradually to protect hair integrity. A full head of highlights typically takes 4–5 hours including toning and styling. Rushing lightening damages hair. We don't rush.
How often do I need to come back?
Balayage grows out more naturally than traditional highlights — most clients return every 8–12 weeks. If you have foils or a more defined placement, 6–8 weeks is typical. Your colourist will advise on the ideal maintenance schedule for your specific look.
What's your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows incur a 50% charge of the scheduled service. We completely understand that life happens — this policy helps us offer those spots to clients on our waitlist.
